New car market in Russia: August, 2022 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 62.4% in August 2022 compared to the same month of the preceding year. A total of 41,698 units were sold last month; 69,172 units less than in August 2021.

Top 10 brands in August, 2022:
Lada: 18,087 units
Kia: 4,004 units
Haval: 2,990 units
GAZ*: 2,907 units
Hyundai*: 2,892 units
UAZ*: 2,491 units
Geely: 1,990 units
Renault*: 1,736 units
Škoda: 640 units
Volkswagen: 534 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
