New car market in Russia: March, 2021 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 5,7% in March 2021 compared to the same month of the preceding year. In the third month of the current year, 148,676 units were sold; 9,062 units more than in March 2020.

In Q1 of 2021, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 2,8% compared to the same period in 2020 or by 11,196 sold units, and amounted to 387,322 cars.

Lada: 33,779 units
Kia: 20,057 units
Hyundai: 15,332 units
Renault: 11,659 units
Toyota: 10,278 units
Škoda: 9,737 units
Volkswagen: 9,442 units
Nissan: 5,705 units
GAZ*: 4,521 units
Haval: 2,833 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
