New car market in Russia: April, 2020 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 72,4% in April 2020 compared to the same month of the previous year. In April, 38,922 units were sold; 102,089 units less than in March 2019.

In the first four months of 2020 total sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia amounted to 437,440 units.

Top 10 brands in April, 2020:
Lada: 9,396 units
Kia: 4,334 units
Renault*: 3,135 units
Volkswagen: 3,093 units
Škoda: 3,041 units
Toyota: 2,565 units
Hyundai: 2,426 units
GAZ*: 2,272 units
Nissan: 1,039 units
UAZ: 862 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
