New car market in Russia: May, 2019 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 6,7% in May 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year. This May, 137,624 units were sold; 9,901 units less than in May 2018.

In the first five months of 2019, a total of 677,570 new cars and LCVs were sold in Russia.

Top 10 brands in May, 2019:
Lada: 28,739 units
Kia: 19,461 units
Hyundai: 14,891 units
Renault*: 10,595 units
Volkswagen: 8,704 units
Toyota: 7,880 units
Škoda: 6,982 units
GAZ LCV: 4,309 units
Nissan*: 4,076 units
Ford*: 3,400 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
