New car market in Russia: December, 2018 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increased by 5,6% in December 2018 compared to the same month of the previous year. This December, 175,240 units were sold; 9,227 units more than in December 2017.

In 2018 new car and LCV sales increased by 12,8% or 204 854 units in comparison with the previous year. In January—December 2018, a total of 1,800,591 cars were sold in Russia.

Lada: 35,407 units
Kia: 18,081 units
Hyundai: 15,075 units
Toyota*: 12,266 units
Volkswagen: 11,179 units
GAZ LCV: 8,454 units
Nissan: 8,337 units
Škoda: 8,184 units
Renault*: 8,097 units
Ford: 5,746 units
*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
