Production was started in 2008 in a one-shift operation, second shift was launched in September 2009 and the third shift in September 2011. Currently, HMMC has 3,500 employees, at its suppliers that followed Hyundai to the Czech Republic created additional 7,000 jobs.
In four years, approx. 835 thousand cars of several models rolled off the line at HMMC. All cars made in HMMC where designed at the Technical center Hyundai in Rüsselsheim, Germany.
Cars from the HMMC plant in Nošovice have been shipped to more than fifty countries in Europe, North Africa and Near East but also to such exotic places as to the French overseas departments – islands Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion or New Caledonia.
However, our biggest markets in all four years have been the following countries (cumulated imports for 4 years rounded to thousands): Germany (138,000), United Kingdom (85,000), Russia (72,000), Italy (61,000), Spain (59,000), France (45,000), Poland (40,000), Austria (40,000), Israel (34,000), the Netherlands (31,000) and the Czech Republic (29,000).
It is exactly four years to the day since mass production was launched at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) in Nosovice, Czech Republic
