Nief Plastic Acquires Germany's Poschmann

The companies have been renamed NP Poschmann GmbH and NP Polska since their integration in the Nief Plastic group.

“By welcoming Poschmann and its subsidiary Poschmann Polska, we expand our range of technologies and know-how and complete our coverage in Europe having now a development center and a production plant in Germany as well as a 6000 m² plant in Poland near Katowice.” said Gilles Nief, CEO of Nief Plastic.

With its numerous technologies, such as injection hollow bodies from retractable cores moulds, Poschmann Group is one of the main suppliers of the pumps and valves industry. It is based in Brilon within North-Rhine-Westphalia, employs more than 100 people and has top-class customers such as Porsche, Daimler, Bosch, ZF, ABB, Vorwerk, Siemens, Danfoss, SKF, Wilo, Pierburg-Kolbenschmidt.

Poschmann Polska sp. z o.o, located in Tychy in the region of Silesia employs 170 people and has 50 thermoplastic injection moulding machines, 11 thermoset injection moulding machines and 10 metal cutting machines. Most of its customers are located in Poland.

This acquisition will allow Nief Plastic to continue its growth in Europe being now present on both sides of the Rhine on the two major European industrial markets. Present in France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Tunisia and Morocco, the Nief Plastic group counts 15 industrial units equipped with 340 thermoplastic injection moulding machines and 85 thermoset injection moulding machines. With 1750 people, the group should reach turnover around 200 million Euros in 2012.

The Nief Plastic group continues to expand in Europe and takes over the German company Poschmann GmbH & Co KG and its subsidiary Poschmann Polska Sp. z o.o.
