Kia Slovakia Launches All-New Cee’d Production

The new cee’d is manufactured exclusively in Slovakia. It is a key product for the Zilina plant, which expects to increase its production to 285,000 cars this year. Kia invested around €200 million in new production technologies in 2011 and thanks to the new model, the factory hired around 900 new workers to launch the third work shift in January this year.
According to Eek-Hee Lee, President and CEO of Kia Motors Slovakia, the company plans to invest over €110 million into the production of new models in 2012. The Kia cee’d SW will enter production in Zilina in the second half of the year.
