GM Adds Cruze Hatchback to Line at St. Petersburg Plant

Sales of locally produced cars is due to start in early January 2012.
The Russian-built Cruze hatch is powered by either a 1.6 liter (109 hp) or a 1.8 (141hp) petrol engine.
A five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission is available for both versions.
As its sedan derivative, the Cruze hatchback is offered in three trim levels: Base, LS and LT. In the first stage of the serrial production, it will be offered in three colors: white, black and silver, but from March 2012, the color range will be expanded to eight different colors.
After South Korea, the United States and Australia, Russia is the fourth country in the world to produce this model.

General Motors has launched serial production of the Chevrolet Cruze five-door hatchback at its plant in St. Petersburg
