New Daimler Plant in Kecskemet Hires 2,000th Employee

The number of workforce is expected to reach 2,500 by 2013. Preparations for production at the plant are proceeding on schedule, plant director Frank Klein said. The first serial production car is set to roll off the line at the €800m plant in Q1 2012. In association with the plant in Rastatt (Germany), two vehicles of the next generation A- and B-Class are to roll off the production line in Kecskemét with an annual capacity of 100 thousand units.
