Hankook Plans Further Expansion at Hungary Plant

South Korean tire manufacturer Hankook is considering a further expansion of its tire plant in Racalmas, the daily newspaper Napi Gazdaság reported, citing unnamed sources. The newspaper noted that Hankook’s plant in Racalmas occupies only half of the 56-hectare site on which it is located.

Napi Gazdasag said that Hankook currently employs 2,000 workers at the plant, which exports 98% of the production, 40% of which to Germany alone.
