Audi Hungaria Marks Production of 10 Millionth Four-Cylinder Petrol Engine

German carmaker Audi produced the ten-millionth four-cylinder petrol engine in Hungary, Audi Hungaria said on Tuesday.

Audi started making four-cylinder petrol engines at its base in Győr (NW Hungary) in 1994. At present, it turns out 3,000 of the engines a day.
Of the plant’s 7,300 employees, 1,400 work on the four-cylinder petrol engine line.

The ten-millionth engine is a 2.0-litre 211 hp Global Engine unit, which will be installed into an Audi Q5 destined for the Indian market
