KSS Commences Airbag Production from New Romanian Factory

US-based Key Safety Systems (KSS), a supplier of advanced engineered safety products, including inflators, airbags, steering wheels, and seat belts, has commenced production of airbags at its new production hall at its site in Arad, Romania. The factory started producing cushions in 2010 and, after further the capacity expansion, it is now producing airbags.

The first airbag assembly lines are now fully qualified and producing side airbags for
European OEM’s. Production capacity is scheduled to increase rapidly to include a full
portfolio of driver, passenger, knee and curtain airbags serving more than ten customers.
