This was announced by plant manager Milan Slachta at a press conference earlier this week.
Construction of the new 9,000 m2 (4,500 m2 production, 4,500 m2 development and others) hall on a 11,000 m2 plot will start this month and it is expected to be completed in August 2012. Production of third generation DNOX (Denoxtronic system for exhaust systems of diesel engines) tank modules and vent valves will be carried out in the new hall from the beginning of 2013.
The investment will create 400 new workplaces, incl. over 70 jobs in the R&D department at the development centre. Robert Bosch employs some 8,000 workers in the Czech Republic, in Ceske Budejovice it currently has a 2,300 strong workforce.
