Hyundai May Set Up New Plant in Ukraine

Hyundai is considering building a vehicle new assembly plant in Ukraine, local newswire ’kommersant’ reports, citing government sources close to the dicussions. A decision is expected to be made until mid-December. The plant would have an annual production capacity of 150-200 thousand vans and light commercial vehicles, an initial localisation content of at lest 50%. Most of the production would be destined for export to EU and CIS markets, because the domestic market of these products is quite small.
