Lames Group to Build New Plant in Serbia

Negotiations between the representatives of Lames Group and the authorities of the town of Sremska Mitrovica and the Ministry of Economy have been successful, meaning the start of a project to produce window regulators for automobiles in Serbia.

Construction of the new facility will most probably begin in late October or November as the factory is expected to be fully operational by mid-2012. Lames bought a plot of 5.5 hectares in Sremska Mitrovica to build the 8,500 square meter factory. The total value of the investment amounts to €8 million. The new plant will employ 250 workers.

The company started production in rented premises in September with 80 employees.
