The 3,100 square meter production hall doubles the manufacturing space at the base of local subsidiary JH Ziegler Pannonia, sales director Szilard Barta told MTI. The value of output in Babolna is expected to rise from €4 million to €12 million a year, he added. The unit bought another 6,000 square meter plot with further expansion in mind, Mr Barta said. In two years, the base will reach full capacity and turn out as much as the parent company's plant in Aachen, said managing director Peter Hartwig.
JH Ziegler Pannonia employs 47 people at the base at present, but plans to make 10-15 new hires next year. The company's nonwovens are delivered to furniture and automotive industry customers in the Central and Eastern Europe.
