Hyundai to Add Third Nosovice Shift Ahead of Schedule

Start of the third shift was originally planned for October 1st, but finally it was decided to launch the third shift two weeks earlier, on Monday, September 19th.

At the beginning of production in 2008, Hyundai plant produced in one shift only. The second shift was launched in September 2009 and since then, both shifts change in a weekly cycle (morning – night), having the weekends free. Constantly increasing demand for Hyundai cars, and preparation for the production of the next generation i30 required earlier launch of the third shift.
Starting on Monday, September 19th, production will run in three shifts (morning, afternoon, night), rotating in a weekly cycle and having the weekends free again.

HMMC hired 800 new employees for the third shift, while its suppliers in the region hired an additional 1,200 workers.
