SMR Set to Open Second Facility in Hungary in September

SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary, the local subsidiary of India-based Samvardhana Motherson Reflectec (SMR), will soon open its second manufacturing facility in the MoWin Industrial Park of Mosonmagyaróvár, northwestern Hungary. The new plant will employ 250 workers to make 7 million rear-view mirrors a year. It will be largest operation of its kind in Europe. The company also operates a plant in nearby town of Mosonszolnok. It manufactures rear-view mirrors for several models of the Audi, Daimler, Hyundai/Kia, Opel, Toyota and Volkswagen brands.
