GM-AVTOVAZ Offers Upgraded Safety Features for the Chevrolet Niva

As of August 1st, GM-AVTOVAZ started equipping its sole model, the Chevrolet Niva, with anti-lock brake system produced by Germany’s Bosch and front airbags made by US supplier TRW for the GLS and GLC trim level versions. The upgraded safety package will be offerd later as an option for the LC version.

In the first half of 2011, 24,715 vehicles rolled off the assembly line at GM-AVTOVAZ’s Togliatti plant, up 50% compared to the same period of the previous year.
