Webasto to Expand Production, Add Jobs at Slovak Roof System Plant

Webasto-Edscha Cabrio Slovakia s.r.o., a producer of convertible roof systems, plans to increase production at its facility in southwestern Slovakia. The company will be the first investor in the industrial park in Velky Meder in the Dunajska Streda district. It will commence operation at the new premises by spring 2012. The investment will bring 300 new jobs to the region. The plant in Velky Meder currently employs some 400 workers, who are engaged in production of convertible roofs mainly for Audi and Daimler AG.
