New car sales in Russia continue to rise

MOSCOW, Russia - There were over 754,000 new passenger cars and LCVs sold in Russia between January and April, 2011 reports the Automobile Committee of AEB Russia. This is a 64 per cent growth compared to the same period in 2010.

Most popular model was the Lada Kalina (46300 units), followed by the Priora (41500 units) and other Lada models.
The following vehicles are also in the top ten: Renault Logan, Ford Focus, Hyundai Solaris, Lada 4x4, Daewoo Nexia, Chevrolet Niva.

During the first four months of 2011, sales grew by 64 per cent.
