MOSCOW, Russia - The Avtoframos plant in Moscow has increased its daily capacity to 500 units by introducing a third shift and are hiring 600 new workers.

The facility will have three new models added in 2011. Assembly of the Renault Fluence and Megane hatchbacks from semi-knocked-down kits will start in 1H2011, while production of the Renault Duster will begin there at the end of 2011, using CKD method.

Avtoframos inaugurated its upgraded Moscow plant, where it has launched a second production line, in March 2011. The €150 million expansion makes it able to produce 160,000 cars per year.
