Nemak Győr to Start Production at Expanded Cylinder-Head Plant in April

GYŐR, Hungary - Nemak Győr Alumíniumöntöde Kft, the Hungarian subsidiary of Mexico-based Tenedora Nemak S.A., will commence operation at its new HUF1.6 billion cylinder head production hall in mid-April, managing director Gábor Mersich told MTI yesterday.

The investment, for which the company received HUF 550 million government support, will increase annual capacity by 22% from current 1.8 million to 2.2 million units, and will create 175 jobs.

Nemak Győr was founded in 1993 and it hosts state of the art technologies Rotacast and Gravity Semi Permanent Mold. It produces cylinder heads to OEMs such as Audi, General Motors and Renault. The company has over 800 employees.
