Modine to Set Up Second Manufacturing Facility in Mezőkövesd

MEZŐKÖVESD, Hungary - US-based Modine Manufacturing Company, a global leader in designing and developing heating and cooling solutions, will invest €10 million to build a second facility in Mezőkövesd, northeast Hungary. The investment will boost headcount at the local subsidiary from current 370 to 600. Modine Hungária Kft. expects to double its revenues in the next five years.

The foundation stone of the 5,400-square-metre production hall was laid in Mezőkövesd on Wednesday. Production of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) coolers could start in about a year, with inauguration planned for March 2012 and launch of serial production for the end of the summer.
