Czech Hyundai Plant Supplies Transmissions to Russia

NOSOVICE, Czech Republic - Since November 2010 transmission shop in HMMC in Nosovice, Czech Republic has not been producing transmissions only for HMMC and the sister plant Kia Motors Slovakia in Zilina but also for newly opened Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus (HMMR) plant in St. Petersburg, whose mass production will be launched in January next year.

The contract was signed on 12th October 2010 and on 3rd November 2010 the first truck with shipment of transmissions set off on a 1643 kilometers long Journey from Nosovice through Poland, Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia. Presently, HMMC supplies some three and half thousand transmissions to Russia, but this number should significantly increase next year. Production plan envisages capacity of 17,402 items in April 2011. Transmissions' loading is always realized within a day-shift and the Glovis Russia Company is responsible for transportation. Transmissions are packed to special returnable steel cases for ten pieces. One truck contains 300 transmissions. HMMC supplies to Russia transmissions for 1.4 and 1.6 gasoline engines. Volume of supplies depends on the production plan; every second day at the beginning and in accordance with increasing amount every day in the future.
